I really like the new headcovers and grips for the Rife models.

 

One thing I want to know is who's Ignite irons were those? I really don't see a pro playing those, but I could be wrong.

 

Also, the picture with the two Sonartec headcovers makes me curious as to what is underneath the rather larger version of those two headcovers.

 

The ignite irons were Sabbatini's/

 

I wonder how similar they play? do you know if he is using the hybids too? or at least one of the hybrids?

Not that these would be the same as the retail clubs I have right now, but the Ignites aren't a bad set at all. I think they are 431 stainless like the NDS were, and they're easy as all heck to hit. I can almost guarantee he's not using the hybrid though. It's VERY draw biased and closed and makes a funnny "tonk" sound at impact like the Cally FT-3 driver. I honestly almost like the Ignites better than the CCi cast set, minus the hybrid. They have a very similar look at setup, and the Ignites seem to have a much better feel on mis-hits.

Very similar in size. The Ignite and CCi cast are both of the midsize variety. Medium Toplines with wide soles and moderate offset. Quite playable.

 

I think companies are wise to the fact that enthusiasts watch for these tournament pics now. Just because a player tries a set on the range at a tournment, it doesn't mean they will put them in play, but it can generate some buzz. :drinks:
