It was used so whatever the guy put in it! I bought a 54* since it is right in the middle of the road.

 

My current wedge setup is crazy:

PW(46) 52 56 60(low bounce) 60(high bounce)

 

I am hoping to switch it to:

PW(46) 54 56 60(low bounce)

 

Have my 56 be the only high bounce club, my 54 and 60 are both 9*. My idealology is to use the 54 and 60 from fairway and easy rough, use the 56 for sand and tough lies. The large gap between the PW and 54* is not too big a deal since I can just take an easy swing with the PW.

Some guy in canada. He was selling a 58 as well but I opted for the 54 since I can bend it to whatever I want and I just bought a 60* Callaway X-tour wedge just a week ago.

Well I just got my wedge and have been chipping it around the yard. The milling is INSANE and the grooves are HUGE. My only complaint is that is sets up kinda chunky, looks like a GI club almost.

Have been playing the 52 and 56 for a couple of months now and they just keep getting better. Obviously they can spin the ball but they also feel great and the bounce/grinds are suitable for all situations.

It took me a while to become familiar with exactly how much spin is generated by different impacts but I have it down now and am very impressed. Have played most of the usual suspects and these are the best.

The do shave balls like a porn star but then so do lots of other wedges.

 

Naturally I make mistakes with these, as with any club, but what I can say is that the Sakamotos are leaving me with more short puts than any other wedges I have ever used.

Just about to order another set.

P.S. have found them particularly well suited for PX shafts. Tried them with S400 but changed back to PX6.5 after only a few days. Just a little note for all you PX lovers out there.

WRX member Golfasaurus sells them. Can't vouch for anything other than my own experience but I found him faultless to deal with and the wedges are great.

It might (or might not) take you a few rounds to get used to how best to use them but once you do they are excellent at helping you put the ball close to the hole. Full shots, chips, pitches, bunker shots. All very good.

With regards to whether this wedges are legal, there have been comments that they are not. An established clubmaker here with the right equipment measured the groves and millings on it. He has confirmed that they are indeed legal. I myself doubted it too at the start.

Wow the groves on that wedge are the exact same as on my golden bear lob wedge. I might have to check them out since the face on my lob is getting pretty worn .

These wedges are ok - sold a few of them - they went due to the extremity of the milling.

Showed them to someone from Endo - they had never heard of Sakamoto. Asked if they could be made in Japan . He doubted that seriously - almost certainly made in China in his opinion. Make of that what you will.

And did you ever get headcovers made? I like the ComoCome headcovers.. but more variety would be nice. Your custom designs sounded like they were coming along alright.. any news?
