My golf swing / hitting a RBZ 3 wood

Recommended Posts

any pointers for me?
Here is a vid of my swing. Sorry for the bad quality but this vid as taken on an iphone. if anyone has any pointers for me i will listen.. I was hitting the RBZ very well and almost or just as far as my rbz tour driver. That was the first time i have hit the rbz 3 wood and was able to hit a fade or a draw on command. Most of my shots were just high and straight as an arrow. i will be buying one in the near future.
Thanks

It is kind of a valley, it is at the Holiday Island golf course in Eureka Springs Arkansas. From the tee it is about a 100ft or more drop off to a valley where they cleared out a bunch of trees. it is pretty cool in person. here is a link to their site.

You take it too far to the inside on your take away, which restricts your shoulder turn at the top. If you can get your hands farther away from your body and get more width at the top you would definitely gain some distance. Your downswing is from the inside, which you want, but since you take it so far to the inside on your back swing I would assume your miss is a pull or a pull-hook. You want to take the club more straight back and then "up". Right now, your right elbow is "tucked" against your body, which is always taught to beginners it seems like and definitely helps with basic contact, but it definitely hinders shoulder turn and width at the top. If your clubs aren't bent 2* or more flat than they may need to be if you keep this swing. Practice keeping your thumbs more "up" on your takeaway instead of rolling your wrist/forearms with your right palm to the sky.

you are right, my miss is a pull hook but my misses used to be bad slices. i have never had a lesson or anything, just watch the pga tour on tv, but would like to get lessons when i can afford to spend a little money. I naturally have a baseball swing because that is all i played growing up, golf was not offered at my school while i was there and picked up golf after high school, i am 24 now. Keeping my right elbow tucked in has helped me correct those bad slices and now hardly ever slice the ball. I am playing some of the best golf of My life right now and feel pretty confident in myselft but still have quite a bit of room for improvement. Thanks for the advice, next time im out i will try changing my swing a little and see what happens.
Keep em coming!
also if it helps i am 6ft tall and 165lbs. I have always played standard length, loft and lie on my clubs. stiff flex, and my driver SS according to GG simulator is usually around 108-112 in the summer.

My feet are closer together with my irons, if i have my feet too close i get off balance with my woods. I have been working trying not to lift my right heel up as quickly on my down swing and feel like it has helped, i will try and post another video soon and hopefully get some more responces.
