Is BSG gone?

I do not want this to turn into a BSG bashfest, just looking for info.

I go to that site a few times a week to look at the BST. I went there this moring and could not get to any posts. I also noticed that the last posts in the topics were done before 7:30pm yesterday. I was wondering if anyone here knows what is going on over there. Are they gone?

As a general matter I am against restricting the range of topics we can and cannot discuss here. I know that BSG has some rules about what can be said, but one of the (many) great things about GolfWRX is that it is an alternative to BSG, with its own rules and atmosphere. I can't see the point of GWRX adopting those things about other sites that we don't like, for spite or whatever reason.

BSG has and continues to have Database/Server performance problems. Todd claims to have the most elite site on the Internet and traffic that surpasses most OEMs. So I'm not surprised that their systems are overloaded. :cheesy:

 

The fact that Todd and his administration accuses GolfWRX of many nefarious things and calls us a rip off site, doesn't matter to most people though we take a great personal offense to it. GolfWRX has decided to take the high road and will not slam BSG in public, unlike their administrations comments and stance about WRX. We wish them the best of luck in fixing their search function database and server performance issues. I'm sure when we are BSG's size we will learn from their experiences. (cool)

I do wonder though how they keep having server issues when they upgraded servers within the last year. Servers that were so superhighend that they didn't for see any server issues again in the future :cheesy:

 

Come to think of it, they've only added a couple thousand members net (new additions minus all the bannings/suspensions that is) since that server upgrade haven't they?

I believe the $599 Dell out of the Memorial Day flier BSG bought in 2003 is on its last legs. When they said they were upgrading to a superduperhighend model, they meant the $799 model with 128 megs of RAM. And that was a computer joke. (cool)

 

Bottom line, the search feature was more powerful than anyone could imagine. It emptied Lake Mead with only one search. The search was entitled: douchey comments. There were simply too many to display.

I am not naive you just say you are above bashing and that is all you do. I like both sites for the golf information but other than that I see more open post bashing them and have never seen an open post bashing golf wrx, what happens in private I have no idea, but this is an open post and I see nothing but negative posts. I dont no why what happens at bsg should affect this site at all.
