Im playing North Berwick this year, me and 11 others travel across the border to Scotland every year and have a order of merit and play one of the rounds for a mini claret jug. North Berwick happen to be the major for the jug, how was it?

We played N Berwick 3 hours after landing in edinburgh. It was the easiest of our courses, but really fun. How often do you play over a century+ old stone wall into a green? Beautiful views, great old houses on the course. I loved it.

Yep, I agree with shemp on north Berwick, I'm not a lover of links golf but that course is an exception to the rule, its outstanding!

Weather was ok. Windy everywhere as always. We had some really heavy downpours on Gullane 1. We played Royal Portrush in 45F, 30-40mph winds and heavy rain. Unfortunately, we got stuck on the ferry from Scotland to Belfast the night before (crazy lady jumped off a ferry into Belfast Harbor, claimed she had a baby.. forcing the closing of the harbor for 6 hours. We didn't get to our hotel till 3AM, then were up at 6:30AM to start the day. We didn't tee off at Portrush till 3:40 and finished as it was getting dark...long tough day). Interestingly we saw Paul Lowrie and Darren Clarke in the parking lot putting their bags in their van before we teed off... They played in the worst of the weather. Later at the Ramore Wine Bar in Portrush we had dinner the next table over from Lowrie and the owner of Sky TV.

Royal County Down was very windy with passing downpours.

The weather the day we played 36 at Muirfield was near perfect. We played 18 in the morning, changed into shirt, tie and jacket to eat lunch with the members, had a few scotches and then played alternate shots in the afternoon. What a way to spend a day.
