Help plan my Orlando Trip!

I'm heading to Orlando in July for a "family" trip. I'm looking for some input on Golf related places I should visit while in the area. I'll have a rental car so distance isn't too much of an issue.

 

I'm looking for....

 

Driving Ranges

Mini-Golf

Golf Stores

 

I'm the only one in the group who golfs so no courses please. I'm more interested in some good quality driving ranges, some fun mini-golf, and some golf stores where I can possibly find some good bargains.

disney fantasia mini golf by the swan dolphin hotel is one of my favorites. there are two courses, one with normal mini golf obstacles and another that looks like a real course (think its called fairways course). anyways, only been on the fairways course and its a blast for anybody regardless of real golf experience.

Check out edwin watts on Turkey lake road and also the golf galaxy down the street from edwin.

As for driving ranges, the one at Orange County National is probably the best in the area but it's out of the way.

I'll definitely look into the Disney Fantasia Fairway Course. Sounds like loads of fun.

Edwin Watts and Golf Galaxy are now on the list of places to visit as well.

I'm staying near Lake Buena Vista. I'm just looking for a decent range where the golf balls aren't rock solid. Oh and hopefully they have Drivers for rent or somewhere nearby does. I won't be bringing my clubs with me on this trip.

The best driving range in Lake Buena Vista is the Faldo Golf Institute. They have a huge main range, a wedge range, 3 separate short game areas, and a large putting greens. That's just what's open to the general public, the institute students have even more options. Buckets are $10 for off property guests but they have an all day bucket for $30 if your gonna be there a while. They have rental RBZ sets for people playing the 9 hole course and should be able to accommodate your club needs.

For mini-golf, Disney's Fantasia - Fairways course is a must. The other 3 courses they have are interesting but nothing new and pretty expensive. Universal Studios just opened up 2 courses at citywalk. Neat hole designs that are pretty challenging, still pretty expensive. I'd play there over the winter-summerland courses at Disney. As for typical putt putt, there's at least 2 courses on I drive and 2 courses on 535. Plenty of putt putt in the area.

Agreed..fairways is an aboslute must... It's the only mini-golf course I'll visit in Orlando:)

Sick! Thanks for all the input! Definitely gonna hit these spots up. Doubt I'll do the all day bucket, especially in July, with the hot weather. But $10 a bucket ain't bad at all especially compared to what we pay in my area.

Grand Cypress' range is not too shabby.

The Faldo range is good. Their 9 hole course also has kids tees. It is very family friendly. There are the usual putt-putt places on International Dr.

Actually, though, check the map. Between Faldo and Orange County National you may be closer to OCN.
