Ping G15, G20 and K15. Demo the Ping shafts. Many friend play stiff, some regular and a couple soft R. I'm 65 and have a G20 with Project X 5.5 They say it's between regular and stiff. I know it works and I'm in the fairway at 230-235 yds. Also, I have heard great things about UST AXIV Core Black Regular for Seniors. FWIW.

I just bought a used Adams 9088 UL Draw for my father who is 63. His normal ball is a "Power Fade" (AKA a banana slice that he somehow hits the fairway with most of the time). He is hitting it with just a slight fade now and picked up about 15 yards. Has a lite flex shaft which seemed similar in flexibility to the senior flex he had on his Hibore XLS, but its ultralight.. seemed to work pretty good for him. I picked it up for a steal on Ebay for 64 dollars shipped.. so it wasn't much of an investment that paid off well.

I'm 63 and have a 91ss according to the launch monitor. I really get involved in the equipment (engineer, read two Wishon books) and read many forums. I recently was having a hard time getting off the tee mostly due to tension. Thinking I know myself and equipment I didn't think I needed to spend $150 for a driver fitting by a master fitter with a launch monitor. I thought my driver should be a 12 deg open faced head with a light regular flex soft tip shaft in a less than standard length.
Well, I went to the fitter and here is what he put me in:
My current D2 10.5 driver adjusted to 9.25 degree with the closed face position. The shaft is a 44" Oban Devotion 7 (75g) in stiff flex.
The approximate numbers by memory are as follows:
Original: 91ss, 16.9 launch, 1.35 smash fac., 3800 spin, 194y carry and 208y total.
New: 90.8ss, 14 launch, 1.46 smash fac., 2800 spin, 208y carry and 228y total.
My misses went from a 16y fade to a 8y draw on average.
The point is you will save money in the long run biting the bullet with a master fitter with launch monitor instead of trial and error. I am now confident in a good fit and more positive on the tee.

I am 65 years old, and my best round this season is 90. I do hope to break 80 before the snow falls!

My driver is a 400cc Integra SoooLong head, 12 degree loft, shafted with a Dynamic Gold R300 steel shaft, at a length of 43 inches.

Forty years ago I consistently broke 80, and I never hit the ball more than 220 yards. Thanks to the modern equipment,
especially the ball, my best drives are 25-50 yards longer now.

I have also been reading Tom Wishon for years. As an old purist, I believe that most modern equipment is too long, too light, too upright,
and too stiff, with not enough loft!

I'm 74 and have been using a G20 10.5 loft with the stock SR shaft. This flies high and carries 200 yards but it's drop and stop. However, it's very consistent and I rarely miss a fairway. Recently switched to a 910 D2 with the Diamani 'ilami 61 A flex using the A1 setting. This gives a lower ball flight. Still carries 200 BUT with 20 yards of run. So far, it's just as accurate as the G20.

I know what works for one may not for another. I was thinking about taking my custom shaft out of my 910 D2 and putting it in a G20 for more forgiveness since I'm a 20 hcp and need all the help I can get.
