Miura CB-501 KJ Choi edition

I was browsing the Miura website and found this new special edition.

Only 300 will be made! I checked which set was still available and 001 is still available.

This is a strange one. Aesthetically I prefer the standard 501s and timing wise, why did they wait until he wasn't even the reigning champion any longer?

i love miura and i love kj but dang that's steep no?
too bad kj isnt lefty, might have to buy a set then.

lol im sure they will. im korean and i know rich korean men have no budget when it comes to golf. Im not rich but i dont hate on the rich either. if i had the money and these were lefties i'd probably buy a set or two. one for the wall and one to game. if anyone on here buys a set pleaseeeeeeee post it on here.

what I find somewhat odd though, is that they want these to be exactly like KJ plays, yet they do not have his nowon no1 grips? I mean you can see the 50 series black with yellow lettering in one of the pics in the link in the first post.

I know its minor but it strikes me as odd that they have the kbs shafts but would not do the proper grips as well. nowon has a distribution center in california where anyone can order off of, why miura NA would get them to send up the grips is beyond me. maybe seeing as I am a big fan of the nowon no1 I maybe slightly biased.

Funny they get released as soon as he puts a set of cast Pings i20's in his bag. KJ must be getting some $$$ for the use of his name instead of a normal OEM sponsorship.

Sad but true. I would consider a purchase like this, but not at $5K. Either you're going to game em, but I'm sure that they dont play any better than most Miuras or Epons out there (and you certainly arent going to be demoing these anytime soon!) or you'll keep them for a few years as an investment, but I could not see these fetching more than the $5K price tag that's already on them.

I guess the proof that they're not flying off the shelves is the fact that 001 is still available.

+1 Not unless KJ wins a major with 001, then you would probably see 002 to 020 fly off the shelves.
