Actually, I really would love to go to Bandon. I'm a huge fan of links golf and besides Whistling, Bandon seems perfect for me. I'm sure I will play there once in my life; but, it's not the easiest course to get to.

Did we ever get this answered? Where is this range? I wish I had a picture of the Dallas National range. Lucky enough to play there one time and it was great!

 

National has hands down the greatest range/ practice facility I have ever seen!

My local driving range was Drumoig which is halfway between St Andrews and Dundee. At the time, it was billed as the premier practice facility in Europe. It had a range, grass tee, huge putting green, enormous 'arena' pitching green - this must have been 80 x 40 yards, 2 more wedge greens, 3 holes (a great par 5 and 2 par 3s), an indoor raised 2 tear shortgame green with water hazards and bunkers, an indoor 5 a side soccer pitch and gym.

It's such a shame it was located in the won place and went bust. Now it is just an empty building and overgrown field. Maybe I'll go takes some pictures because it really looks sad now but was something special.

Since all these ranges are so nice, I thought i'd offer some reality for many of us. This is one I'm using this week...on the road for work. Yes, that is a freight train on the left and everything is dead grass and dirt.

I've just been through the photo gallery for all the holes, that is a spectacular looking golf course!

Will add our range tomorrow morning, got a 7.30am tee time.
