Golf Rental Sites - Who is the best?

So what experience do people have with the various golf rental sites? Thinking about trying a rental instead of hauling my own clubs with me when I travel in the fall. Not sure how good or bad these sites are and how good or bad the clubs you get are?

Any advice, horror stories or comments would be very welcome. I mean they seem to do business and be in existence for a while but is it really an alternative? What is it like playing with rental clubs vs. your own?

I once rented from xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and had a reasonable experience with them. Certainly not the same as playing with your own clubs but adequate if you don't want to lug your clubs with you. I think if you are going on a golfing trip then bring your own clubs but if it is more a holiday with just some golf tacked on as an afterthought then these rental sites are more than adequate. I have not used any other sites though.

I used a while ago and had a similar experience - nothing to write home about but did the job. They use fedex which worked well.

just came across xxxxxxxxxxxxxx- not exactly a rental site but something very similar. just received my TM rr11s and going to try the ping answer and hallway razr fit next. basically you become a member and for a monthly or quarterly fee you can select, try out and swap different drivers as and when you want to. seems to be a great service...hope it helps you
