6'2" and some change...pushing 6'3". Putter is 37" and 355g. I like to be more upright and open. Helps me see the line.

I had experimented with putters down to 31" with an Arnold Palmer like stance. Saw a photo once and just did not like it. Silly, I know. Now using 34-35 which actually seems to fit my gated stroke better. I have two Scotty's that I will cut to 34.5 and I may actually add 1/2" to my 34" Rossa Sebring.

35 inch putter but choke down 1/2 inch or so. Putter weight 330 grams. 71 *. I never putted better... ARC stroke.

 

 

Experimented with arc stroke from 365 grams newport 2 .. 33 inch, then 33.75 inch 350 grams. then 35 inch .. Myday ping myday... then finally Newport 330grams.. The speed control/feel and backaches get better as the weight reduces and length increase..

I'm 6'5" and use a 35" Yes Callie. One question about lie angle, I've been messing around with my hands and have found that if I "toe" the club I have a much better stroke... less wristy.

 

So, to all the tall guys, do you play standard lie, or have it bent up? I'm thinking of going 3 or 4 up, to match my irons.

I am 6'2" and use a 32.5" putter, 2* upright after being fitted on a machine at Meridian Golf in Minneapolis. I don't know if they are still in business, but I suspect those fitting outfts are all over the place. I don't believe there is any specifically useful correlation between distance from wrist to floor and putter shaft length. You have to get fitted while in proper putting position over the ball. That is my fixed but HO.

Myself = 6' 4" and have had some of the same issues.

 

It sounds like your putter is too short. If you are moving your hands away from your body to "toe" the club then the lie angle would have to be flattened to make the putter sit flat on the ground unless you are going to force your hands into the new position. Seems counter intuitive but thats how it works. At your height I would suggest going longer before flattening the lie angle so your hands can sit in their most natural position; don't fight your body. Another thing to check is where your eyes are over the ball, with the scenario you provided it's likely your eyes are "outside" the aim line which is never good.

when we measure - we take the measurement from the bridge of the nose to the floor.

Coupled with an exact position relative to the right and left foot.

All the other measurements then hang from this position - the most crucial being the thumb line which gives a more accurate guide to the shaft lie angle
