2 Questions:

 

1) Has anyone ever heard of the custom shop being able to remove a sightline??? I have a Pro Platinum Newport 2 that I will be sending in and would like to have the sightline removed...Anyone ever heard of this being done???

 

2) Has anyone ever seen a more beautiful putter than A006577??? :drinks:

YES AND YES!!! lol

 

(1)I think they charge $50 to weld up a sightline. I would email the studio just to make sure on pricing.

Email them ahead of time, they are really helpful in making sure you get what you want.

I thought they will only remove sight lines, if it is an aftermarket one? Definitely email them to make sure.

They won't remove the sightline if it is what came on te putter. Tried that before. Same thing with sight dots. If it comes standard on the putter you can't get it welded over, if it is aftermarket, you can.

Hey, maybe someone here knows - can the shop refill paint without damage to an oil can finish? Will the shop put a custom stamp on a putter with an aftermarket finish (they are going to do some custom work?)

First off...Dang you. You beat me to the e-mail. LOL They can do the paintfill, they won't do the stamp as that would validate the finish as being one of theirs while it is actually a aftermarket. At least that's what they told me when I sent in my circa done by bos in OC.

I figured as much. I wish they would just offer an Oil Can finish.... I told them as much in the email (maybe that's why they haven't answered :drinks: )

 

Oh well, I am not getting rid of the finish - I really like it. Maybe when it starts to wear I'll go PP and Merlot... maybe.

 

Does the CS offer any "unlisted" stamps? I like the CS stamp but am not too fond of the Yin/Yang or the money stamp.

I received the same email and all I could think was - I don't want anybody working on my putter bright and early on January 2. Maybe the 3rd.

 

I also noticed the email originated from [email protected]. Should I use this email?

i've never tried e-mailing that one, but if they sent it from there, one would think it would work. LOL I can just people coming in from the new years parties going....Okay...what putters do we need to do. LOL

Just for the record, I just received an email from the custom shop - they will not stamp or paint fill a putter with an aftermarket finish.

 

They didn't say, but I hope they will at least adjust the specs for me.

My OC Newport 2 is there right now for the full refin. I'm hoping it doesn't get started until a few days after the festivities are over!
