Once and for all - how much to tip a GD Tour AD DI6 for R11 tip installation

OK, guys. I have a Graphite Design Tour AD DI-6 I am planning on installing an R11 tip on and I've scoured the web, but haven't found the 100% correct tipping amount so the shaft flex plays the same.

Some say none, some say 1" and everything in between. Which is it?

 

It would be nice if the guys who have this setup chime in with measurements from their R9/R11 adapter tip to the first green line. I've read that a non-tipped shaft w/o an adapter will measure 24.75" to the first green line.

 

I'd like to have this shaft play 45" in a Supertri so the final tip to butt (w/ adapter) should be 43.5", if I'm not mistaken.

 

Lets settle this thing once and for all!

I called GD a couple of times to get to the bottom of this months ago. From what they told me (as did Aldila), an R11 adapter is basically the equivalent to a standard bore install. So what does that mean for tipping? Well, it depends on what the standard bore shaft tipping instructions are (if any) for the exact model in question. According to the GD tipping pdf on their site, they do not recommend tipping the AD DI for standard bore installs. Some of their other models recommend tipping, but the AD DI does not.

Exactly this. GD says no tipping in the TaylorMade adapters.
