What shaft are you playing in your Miura HB3/HB4

I am about to swap out the aerotech ss75 in my Miura HB3 hybrid, and was curious what shaft other people playing this hybrid are using and why. Thanks for any replies!

thanks for the reply.. I thought the fubuki ax shaft is .370 and I think the miura hb3 is a .350 hosel diameter.. is the previous fubuki H shaft a taper or smaller diameter? i was looking at the ax hybrid shafts, but i didnt think they are an option due to size.

i found a blueboard that is .335 that i was thinking about using, but havent really made my mind up yet

BTW you are right the HB series are .350" parallel....the Blueboard .335 won't work well at all........those shafts are designed for heads at approx 200 grams....HB3 weighs 235 grams....you could not "Tip" the Blueboard enough to get the flex you would want.....Been tried with a variety of .335 shafts...No good!

a .335 really wont work even w/ a shim? that really limits the number of shafts that will work, huh? what else is in the .350 range that is a good candidate? i thought the aerotech ss75 was a .335 too

I am not saying you cannot shim a .335 into the head........but you need a "Hybrid" specific shaft (Designed to flex properly with a head of the desired weight)
ie. If you have a "Wood" shaft that is marked as a stiff and use it in a wood head(Driver) it will frequency at about 260 cpm at 45.5" ....if you shim that same shaft into a 235 gram hybrid head the frequency will drop to about 245 com at 40"....that takes it from a "Stiff" to a "Ladies" flex.
Use an appropriate shaft...."Ghetto" engineering is fun sometimes but not in golf clubs.

Fubuki makes it into a hook machine for me. I put in Kuro Kage 80g and Diamana BB. tight dispersion and they scoop up the ball in the air really well.

I play the fuel tour spec. I wanted the speeder, but I could not justify putting a $250 shaft in a hybrid. I like the feel and the flight of the fuel, and the white isn't too shabby either. I upgraded from the fuji fit on, and the difference was easily noticeable. It seems the fuel is easier to shape shots (not that I do that much). It goes straight for me, and allows me to do what I want to do. It could be nothing, but I believe it suits my swing better than my previous shaft. So, the answer to your question is, I play the fuel ts because it works for me.

I use an Nventix nunchuck in mine. I find it to be very stable and accurate.

matrix ozik altus hybrid is a perfect match in this head for me. high launch, flat, straight and long which is what i want from a hybrid. great feel and balance with this shaft. x is 90+ grams so that definitely helps with feel and stability.
