Anyone own an Expresso golf watch

Just wondering how you like it.

As a basic GPS golf watch it is ok. F-C-B distances to the greens seem accurate. It does occasionally hang up on a hole and does not auto advance for a few holes and you have to manually advance it for several holes. The biggest disappointment is the hazard info. It only show two hazards per hole. According to Expresso it supposedly shows the two closest hazards from the tee. I think it shows the two closest to the green which are ususally greenside bunkers. Who needs that info when you have green distances. Very seldom do I get valuable hazard info like a stream crossing the fairway or the like. I got the watch when they first came out so maybe they have corrected that since. One good thing about the watch is that it charges quickly and the battery life is much better than the Garmin S-1 I had. I also use the watch when I walk and the pedometer function is nice. Then there is the clasp band. Some like it, I don't.

In general it is ok as a basic watch but I wouldn't buy one unless you get a super good deal. I would take a look at the new Bushnell Neo watch.

Pretty much ditto what Rickochet said. The hazards info is hit-or-miss as far as being useful on any particular hole but keep in mind that none of the other watches that are comparable show any hazards so consider that a bonus. It's definitely worth a look.

I'm happy with mine. I like it better than the garmin s1 I had. Much better battery life than the garmin.

They are both accurate. Expresso has limited hazard info. Garmin has none.

I forgot to mention the band on the Expresso which is a clasp type band. You have to clip segments of the band off the get it to the size you want. Trim it too small and you will need a new band. I don't like it because I have big hands and an arthritic thumb and I have to struggle to get the watch over my fist. A simple sports type post and hole band would have been a better idea.
