here is my attempt at slicefixer. its so bad im kind of mad since i had it down pretty decent last year. i feel my takeaway and backswing are decent but my transition is terrible, im spinning out and coming over the top.

The Setup is not reverse K.
There is a big disconnection on your down swing, where your hips out race everything then you have to raise up to let your hands roll and square the face up.

Get your left hip over the left heel at address, and start the down swing with your core and quiet feet to allow everything to move in sync.

It looks like to me you might want to check your grip, doesn't quite look to me it's what Geoff would want. But that is not the cause of the over the top motion, but set up and grip need to be correct to have a good foundation for this swing.

thanks very much. i just have no idea what to do on the downswing. i have such a hard time fiquring our the transition.

you said my hips outrace everything on the downswing. is that because i am spinning out instead of rotating when im over the left pivot point?

any drills to work on the transition?

Ragweed talked about teh grip, but the video isnt really clear enough to tell that. But I do know your setup is not reverse K or close to it so you will have to make a lateral move with your hip to get to the pivot point(Where your left hip lasses over the left heel in the down swing).

Since you dont move lateraly in the videos, you get spinny with the hips and have to raise up and flip to save it. Try to setup more reverse K, and have the core pull everything around the left hip/heel. Or feel the right hip low and around.

i feel the reverse k setup will help, but it wont solve the problem completley. are there any drills to work on my transition and covering the ball more with my upper body?

You need to get over your pivot point, the angle line I drew from your heel is to show you that your hip goes to the back while Hunter's hip goes on and breaks that line. Which means he got to his pivot point and you didnt. So Reverse K would help since it establish you on that point so you dont have to move as much to get back to it laterally.

There are 2 things that I see that are making you slice. One, is the face is open at the top of your backswing. Because you hand is cupped. So if you can flatten that put it will help a bit. Secondly, you are coming over the top. On my way! Simple drill for for this is. Take a normal back swing, and at about half speed. Pretend you are trying to hit out to first base. This will help you come in from the inside. Your right elbow will tuck in more and you'll have to start your swing with your hips instead of your arms. Hope this helps you out a bit.
