What part of San Diego you in? I'm in Chula Vista area. Not too many courses down this way but plenty to keep a weekend fun. What times do you normally play?

I'm in mission valley across from riverwalk. I mostly try to play during the week I get off work at 10am and try to get out after that. Salt creek is a great track down there and eastlake is fun too.

I'm up for playing if you're still looking for other members. I've been playing for about 6 months and have tried Salt Creek, Balboa, Chula Vista, Bonita, Cottonwood, Rancho Bernardo Inn and Carlton Oaks.

I'll be headed to Torrey soon. You should get your residence card if you don't have it yet. I went this weekend but forgot they had a men's club shotgun on Saturday. Might go in the next few weekends.

Definitely have the card but can only play late on the weekends. I kinda wore myself out on torrey during the summer played a lot of twilight there. A LOT

Can I ask a question about living in San Diego and golf there? I currently live in Seattle but may be moving to SD next year. What are good areas to live that provide easy access to good courses? I know pretty generic question.. but just generally interested in living/golfing in San Diego and your experiences.

I grew up in San Diego and still live here (North County). Pretty much anywhere you live will be close to several golf courses, as we have 80+ courses scattered throughout the county. I must say that, given the temperate year-round climate and the plethora of courses in all price ranges, that San Diego is definitely a mecca for golf. As far as areas, it'll greatly depend on your price range and work location. Pretty much everywhere is easily accessible and easy to get to, unless you live too far east/northeast.

I actually moved here from seattle and i've come to find out that no matter where you are there are plenty of courses within 20 minutes driving.

I get out every Sunday either at north island sea n air or salt creek. If anyone wants to hook up just hit me up. I normally have one spot open for sea n air and I can get you on with no issues. I walk and play to a 7 handicap.

[/quote] I got to play sea n air one time and I always tell people it's my favorite course. I'm a walker too and an 11 hdcp i'm in whenever it works out.

Anyone know if 1/2/14 would be a holiday rate at Torrey? I may be interested in playing there in the morning, early, if it's not. Other wise, I'll just do 1/3/14. PM me if either day works.
