Going to be in New York on June 26- June28

 

Here is the list of courses im playing and need a hotel to stay at that's near them.

 

June 26: Garden City Country Club

Beth Page Black

 

June 27: Wingfoot (Both Courses)

 

June 28: Quaker Ridge Golf Club

Manhattan is about equidistant to both of those locations and you'll find a multitude of hotels at different price points.

Winged Foot / Quaker Ridge are next to each other in Mamaroneck, NY which is a 35 minute train ride north on the Metro North out of Grand Central.

Garden City and Bethpage are close to each other, but both are East of NYC. Garden City is a 40 minute train ride on the Long Island Railroad out of Penn Station.

I would suggest staying in the city, then taking the train to both (you can easily get cabs to the train station and then from the train station to the clubs - there will be many parked outside as your trains arrive).
You could also get a cab, which I'd estimate at $40 to $60. You'll also be at the mercy of traffic.


You'd otherwise have to do a lot more travelling and check in/out may be a hassle. - check in on June 25th out near Garden City, play 36 holes the next day, check out, travel up to Mamaroneck and check in.

BTW - that is one heck of an itinerary. Congrats. I played Winged Foot East a week ago and have played Bethpage Black.

Agree, staying in the city would be your best option.

Mamaroneck is not far from Garden City, but traffic can be painful.

There is a hotel across the street from The Men s Club(after golf, members usually don't go far after the Wednesday BBQ), stay there one night, than grab a room in Rye/ White Plains or New Rochelle all are a short ride to WF and Quaker.

I agree on all points aside from the cost of the cab.

Will be $75-100. Cabs hate leaving the city, and the meter adds up quickly, plus you pay round trip tolls.
