Whats your 3 wood?

Im in need of a new 3 wood, can be an older model or new release. Either way I need something low launching to hit off the deck with maximum distance at highest priority.

 

I utilize a 3 wood almost exclusively for off the deck on long par 5's where I need to get on or close to a green.

"from the last 5 years" I would say Callaway mavrik line or original SIM line are top to choose from for price/performance.

 

2 years or so newer models I would say TSr line or Paradym.

 

This last cycle I would say the Qi10 or AI smoke.

Still have my OG SIM ti.  It's very hot off the face, mid launch, low spin.  Great off the tee, but you need some speed off the deck to make it come to life.  Qi10 tour is also another good one I tested and numbers were very similar to the SIM ti but it launched slightly higher.

Lots of love for the Sim TI, I've never hit one but I recall these having a cult type following.

 

I would assume for good reason! Hard to find in good condition though...

Go to EBAY and look up Tour Edge Exotics CB2. Probably pop up if you search for “piss missile”

The Cobra LTDx LS has been in my bag and not going anywhere anytime soon.  I would also check out TEE C722 or C723.  Very underrated and can be found pretty cheap.

TSR3 with a 1K Black 75X. Most consistent fairway metal I've ever hit, by far.

 

My stock ball flight is a draw, and I don't believe I've ever missed one left with this club. It just wants to go straight unless you really work it.

I have the AI Smoke Max 3 wood (15 degrees) and it might be the easiest club to hit from a tee or off the deck that I have ever had (when it comes to a 3 wood that is) and the distance is pretty fantastic.

Taylormade fairways always work best for me, I need a deeper face.  All in the last 5 years are good, but I really like the look of the Qi10 this year.   I have a 3HL and a 7 in the bag now.

I think that the Titleist lines have all been great off the deck. I am currently using a TSi3. Really good on strikes low on the face. Creates a little low bullet that usually gets out about as far as the well struck ones do.

Oddly enough I have never hit a Cobra 3 wood but have been eyeing the new Darkspeed line, very clean compared to some of the past offerings from Cobra. This may need to go to the top of the list, I like the idea of the 3+ additional distance.

The TSR is in high consideration for me, Titleist woods are always very clean at address and sound phenomenal.

longshot, but I use a UW bent 16*. Almost as far as a 3 wood and more consistent. Ballspeed about the same just a little more spin.

Tour Edge C722/C723.  Titanium, pretty hot, lower but not crazy low spin.

 

They have a 13 and a 15 that can be pushed down 1.5* if you wanna get weird.

it was a PING G400 for 6-7 straight years but the shaft in it got too stiff(swing too slow) and I decided to go on a new 3 wood hunt, I've tried Stealth +, Stealth 2 +, TSi3 and now using Ai smoke TD. so far TD seems to be working! last round hit a par 5 in 2 from 245 into the wind from a tight lie in the fw. it's been years since I've done that.
