need some help with Callaway and shaft selection

I posted this on the equipment forum, lots of views but no responses, and now I think I should have started here. Hope I don't offend anyone putting this in both places. It was pretty length, so will shorten here.

 

I'm 54, overweight, trying to get back to playing golf a little with my youngest son. Currently have a Callaway 454 TI 9.5 with Harrison 2.5 Pro 80. Was fitted and told I needed a 70, left the club and they shipped it to me (about 70 miles from home) with the 80. I think swing speed (this was a few years ago) was upper 80's, not 100% sure.

 

Would like to try a Callaway Razr. Found one in 8.5 with Diamana Blue 63 regular flex. I tend o hit the ball high, and used to use a 305cc Deep Red Wilson. I hit it a couple times the other day and flight was not as high as I used to hit it. Now days I tend to swing a little smoother instead of trying to rip it. Could hit around 220-to maybe 230 on driving range from elevated tee. Would like to get to 250 and straighter, was kind of getting off more left than right, but not real consistent. Of course, was the first time we had been to the range in a couple of years, probably.

 

1. What do you think about the Razr 8.5 with the Diamana Blue 63? Will it help or hurt my high ball flight?

2. Razr Fit with 9.5 tour with Diamana White in a stiff shaft 73?

3. Hyper X Tour 9.5 with Diamana White stiff (not sure on weight)?

4. Razr Extreme 105. with Adila Trinity (love the name).

 

When I used to play more, I knew the Diamana was a really good shaft, but only from what I had read. Now I am looking at and for mainly used clubs, and would love to try one. Don't really want to go back to the same clubfitter, because I wasn't too thrilled after one guy there told me one thing and another had him send me a different weight shaft without telling me. And probably can't afford to have them fit me and get a different club there.

 

So I am asking for some help getting something that I can hit long, straight, further and more consistently. The 454 is really a pretty good club, and the shaft was PURE'd, but I would like to try something different and let my son use this one. He hits it pretty well, but doesn't want to use my club, but I am sure he would love to have it.

 

Any suggestions, or should I keep what I have and get him a new club instead? Thanks
