Rain Gear on Monterey Peninsula?

Heading to Monterey in 2 weeks, wondering if I should pack rain gear? I was thinking about taking a short sleeve rain pullover just in case it rained. Any Pebble frequents have any input? Thanks!

Absolutely - rain cover for the bag, long pants, high socks, a sweater, and full rain gear. Part of my group had to bail out mid-round since they weren't prepared.

Shouldn't have a problem as Monterey summers start and finish later than most other climates. I always pack a light rain jacket even in summer as you never kno what the Pacific Ocean might bring. I'm down there every couple of weeks, was just there to play Spyglass and wore shorts and a polo the entire round. Courses up more inland I would bring pants if you are teeing off early.

Rain is not likely this time of year, but you never know. Bring it and leave it in the room.

Keeping a light rain pullover in the bag never hurts for the peninsula. I also carry a pair of waterproof wind pants. They are easy to take on/off over shorts and are very lightweight (no lining). Most importantly, I make sure that the rain cover for my golf bag is packed before heading to the airport.

As others said, it doesn't rain a lot down on the peninsula (especially this time of year) but the fog and wind can change multiple times during a round.

Definitely would come prepared for all kinds of weather no matter what time of year. I went the last weekend in March last year and during the week I wore anything from shorts to long pants to long pants with rain gear.
