**I NEED A PUTTER!**

Hey everyone. Its that time of year again where I do some serious thinking as far as what type of new equipment will help me lower my handicap. Right now it is 0degrees outside, and I thought I would spark some conversation.

I have a TeI3 Santa Fe that is old, haha, to say the least. It's 33 inches and I think I made a mistake by putting with it. It dosn't have any paint fit in it and the bottom finish is just about gone. I have been looking for a new putter that wont cost very much. I can't get a deal on camerons, but I can get deals from Odyssey and Nike.

What I am getting at is, what should I do? Im pretty sure I want to sell the Cameron, Ive had one for years but my putting is very streaky. I need something that can make me "feel" more consistant. I was looking for a Black series putter, or a Nike Retro Blade putter. What are the weights on these things? and is it worth the money if i can get them cheap?

if any of you guys want the santa fe im sure we could work out a price. Im not reall enthusiastic in refinishing it. (comes with the original hc)

There seems to be a ton of deals on the old stock Hogan-Bettinardis. Pretty much the same materials as the new Mizuno-ardi's at half (or less) price. Excellent quality to boot.

Don't worry about what you can get a "deal" on - get the putter that puts the ball in the hole the best! Putters aren't that expensive, really.

Whatever I plan on getting I will use in whatever condition. Im the kind of guy who uses a putter for exaclty one year and then evaluates how I have responded to the change. Have tampered with many putters, and im feeling a heavier style blade to best suit my straight-back and straight-through stroke...ive gone the mallet route 3 times and all disasters haha... ;)

Many of the mallets are face-balanced which should help a SBST stroke. I would be interested in the Santa Fe. You can send me pics and a price at [email protected]. I have a number of face-balanced putters available. Most are mallets (which you don't seem to care for). I do have a Yes! Tracy that is face-balanced. A Tracy might be the ticket. It is for Retief, LOL.

Or you can buy a cameron from sponsor, discount dan, and get a retail cameron for around 220-240 depending on model.

And if you're looking at Black Swirls and Unitized, don't pass on Ping's Redwoods. I tested all three this weekend and the Redwood was by far the best looking and feeling of the three. The Black Swirl was extremely disappointing, especially at it's price point. The Nike was nice, but the Redwood set up better and felt better in my opinion.
