Heading to Treetops in a month for their 1 night stay, unlimited golf package. Never been before. Here are the tee times that they gave us based on the times i told them.

October 3rd 12:30pm Fazio “Premier”

5:30pm Smith “Threetops”

October 4th 10:10am Smith “Signature” ($10 upcharge per person)

3:42pm Jones “Masterpiece”\\

How does this look to the folks that have been there before? Anything we should add/change?

Perfect.....you will have a riot but as others have said you need to play the Tribute and then you will have played the best that Gaylord has to offer

You are going to love Treetops. Awesome place and conditions. Just got back from a 4 day trip to northern Michigan a couple of weeks ago. We played Threetops in the morning around 10:00am, and then headed south to Forest Dunes. Threetops was so much fun, and don't forget your camera, especially hole #7 I believe. Have fun and safe travels.

Where are you from? If you are heading home south on 75, you should hit up Forest Dunes on the drive home. It's a hour south of treetops and is easily the best course up there. It's a US top 100 course and certainly will not disappoint.

I also say, if possible, try and get in The Tribute at Otsego. My family has a place in Gaylord and I have played all of them multiple times. I pick The Tribute over anything at Treetops everytime. I just played it this past weekend and its in great shape. Plus a 8 am tee time on a Saturday was only $55.

 • 2 weeks later...

I'm surprised to see there's an upcharge to play the Smith, but that's not that much. I played all the Treetops courses back in June, and the conditioning was good except for one glaring problem -- there were a ton of really big rocks in the bunkers. These reports about great conditions hopefully indicate that they've been able to take care of that.

Also agree with the comments about playing the Tribute and/or Forest Dunes if you have the chance -- especially Forest Dunes.

I'd probably try and move the 3:42 tee time up, it gets dark pretty early up there that time of the year.
I certainly would echo that. In Columbus it is getting dark at 7:30... I think it gets dark quicker up there.

Sunset says 7:34pm at Treetops. 4 hours should be plenty of time to finish the round shouldn't it?
I think you are going to be cutting it very close. The sunset time is when the sun is completely below the horizon (disappeared). It will be fairly dark by 7 I would assume. Not sure if the fact that you will be in the woods will play into the darkness factor either (thinking about the tree coverage). I am probably over thinking it and really have no clue what im talking about at this point. Just seems like you will be scrambling to get the round in. Plus if a 4ball playing their $1 skins game gets in front of you, you guys will be complete SOL.

Personally, I would try and bump both times by like a half hour or so.

While it pains me to agree with someone with such a terrible avatar, I'd say that he and Overpar19 are right. It's dark to the point that you'd have trouble following a ball in the air by around 7-7:15 here in Metro Detroit.

Ya, I took advantage of the all you can golf deal last year at treetops and both our Friday and Saturday afternoon rounds were dark before we finished. As stated above the pace of play is not quick, especially at the time because everyone is taking advantage of the deal. I believe our round round was 5 1/2 hours.

Haha I am Buckeye fan by default as I was born at Ohio State Medical Center and grew up less than 5 minutes from the stadium. It was drilled into me at a young age. With that said, I love the state of Michigan. My family has a place up in Gaylord and I have been going there since I was little (actually will be there in 2 weeks). Great people, absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and incredible golf. Hard to not like that. Anyone who hasn't been to Northern Mi needs to go. It's truly one of the best kept secrets in the country.

I love it, have lived in michigan now for the past 7 years and 6 of them in the Ann Arbor area. There was nothing I loved more than than wearing my OSU gear in Ann Arbor after we whooped up on that team to the north lol
