Guerin Rife Cayman Island Tour issue help needed

These picture were on Golfwrx a while back (can't remember which thread sorry). But, does anyone have any idea if this putter is going to be released? I looked for it on the Rife site but can't find it. I guess it is called the Cayman but I've seen a couple other models by that same name too if I remember right. Anyone with more info on this putter please?

When I took the Caymen photos, I was led to believe they and a few other Rife models would be released shortly after the PGA show. I'm sure they'll be up on the Rife site soon.

Hate to contradict what others are saying but, I got this information "straight from the horses mouth" as they say:

 

"The cayman putter is still very much in the prototype form. We have about 4

versions being tested by different tour players around the world and after

all the feedback we will produce the Cayman putter. We do not know however

what the final design Guerin Rife will putt out nor do we have a time frame.

But I know it will not come out for atleast a year as we are committed to

the barbados, antiqua, and martinique this year. The Island Series

collection will continue over the next couple of years to include a Cayman,

and Abaco, and a few to be named designs that Guerin has. This entire

collection will be beautiful and worth every penny. All of the competing

putters in these putters category are priced 100 dollars more so there is

value to start your collection now."

 

I'm actually bummed. I want that Cayman with the soundslot in the worst kind of way!!!!

Question for you do you have any info on a Cayman putter release? the model i'm looking for has a sound slot cut in the sole.

This will be available to the public later on this year. I do not have a date as of yet as to when these will be available i will let you know when i find out. Please keep checking the website because we will post them on there once available.

Island series has been introduced, but currently only 3 models so far. I'm thinking they're going to add cayman later ....

The cayman would definitely be my first Rife putter. Although i am just alright with sound slot, what the heck i'll get it just because its so sweet looking.

Looks like a great putter that will certainly compete well...especially at $100 less then competition. I to wish they would release it...preferable with a 350g head.

A $100 less than competition. The Island Series is $180 on the website. What do they consider their competition? I can name a hundred putters that are between $150 to $200. Do they think Cameron is the only competition?

 

I think Rife has a huge advantage over other companies with the fact that you can change the lie of your putter and fit youself. I wouldn't try to change the lie on a Cameron by myself. And In my opinion, the Rife roll-grooves seems to work better than Yes and Taylormade.

 

Also, I think it is a mistake for them to wait so long before releasing the Cayman. It seems to be getting a lot of buzz when the Antiiqua and Martinique styles don't seem to get any. They should have just put out the Barbados and Cayman first for the Island Series, in my opinion.

I think this would be an excellent addition to their line and something unique if they leave it as pictured with a floating face slit. I know I would love to try one out and I imagine a lot of others would too.

Definitely agree with you all that the Cayman should be released the same time as the island series. I would purchase the cayman, for its sweet look and i do not think there is many manufacturers producing that sort of design at the moment other than scotty circa 3. Anyways i've just recently purchased the Martinique model which also looks sweet, my first rife! also first of martinique style putter.
