Need some information on the Taylor Made Tour shaft by Mitsubishi Rayon

As the title says i'm looking for some information on the Taylor Made Tour shaft by Mitsubishi Rayon, I guess it's sort of an stock version of some Mitsubischi Rayon shaft made for TM sort of like the same deal as the Speeder version for some Titleist models and the Fujikura shafts (gold) in the old Cleveland Launcher models.

- Is this line of thought correct, and if not what exactly is it then?

- Does anyone have experiences with this shaft?

- Does someone knows where I find more information on this shaft like : Torque and kickpoints.

- And if it's a stcokmodel of an excisting model which shaft is the closest to it.

That is a different shaft that the specs you have posted. Let me do some digging. I used to have that shaft in an r7.

EDIT: Not a stock shaft. They were $100 from the TM Tech Van when they first came out. I think it is like a 2.8 toque with a mid/high kick and between 68 and 72 grams.

EDIT 2: Can't find anything, but I am pretty sure those specs I posted are right.

I had a Taylor Made/Mitsubishi Rayon Tour Stiff shaft in a TM R580XD several years ago- it was really stiff, definitely in the X stiff range. I heard V.J. Singh used the same shaft on Tour during that time frame.

My swingspeed is also about 110 mpg & high hitter, for me it was a hair too stiff- when I caught it flush it was great but with the slightest mishit the ball kinda dropped out of the sky.

Did you use an S or an X flex shaft? 110 mph and S being to stiff sounds pretty unreal, must be a damn stiff poke then.

It is a tour stiff like ts it is an x easily if I remember right.

So if I get it straight the Taylor Made Tour S compares to the other brands theirs X flexes, question to the posters before : did you use the S or the X flex with your 110 mph swing?

These are great shafts, but they definitely play stiffer than flex. The Tour S should work with a 110 swing though.

I think people are talking about the tour ShaqX that VJ uses. That ONLY came in an X and was not labeled. Actually it was a touch softer than an X but the shaft was usually tipped so it could play from a soft X to a stout XX.

The shaft in the picture looks like the shaqX but it is not labeled that. So I am not sure what you have.

It's not a ShaqX. The shaft pictured was one that was just before the ShaqX. They sold the Tour S and the Kuehne model at the same time.

Does anyone have any info on the tour kuehne?

I know this is old, but is this the same shaft?

Well link's not working, but here's the Item number: 110217894439.
I want to put it in my Burner, but I my max swing speed right now with my back is 98-105, and I need a lower launch shaft, the stock MID REAX is way too high.

Correct, I had exactly the same shaft myself in an original TM R580 with 8.5* loft, played like a telegraph pole for me. Although at a ss of 110mph you should be fine.

yeah i played it in a r580 8.5 as well. it was the first driver i had confidince in and hit straight. i should have never gotten rid of it. i swing an average of 104 and it played well for me. had a perfect, boring tradjectory, and no ballooning. i don't play those super premium shafts, but it has a similar launch to my 8.5 hiborexl tour with a prolaunch red stiff in it. man, i miss that driver......

I'm guessing it keeps the launch angle down... I'm hoping it will help keep it down with my burner.

Sid, If you don't buy that shaft, then I will. I have been looking for one for some time now. I am very tempted to click buy it now. That is definitely the shaft in question. If you are around 105, then it should be ok for you.

I'll be getting it tonight probably, if not I'll let you know...

I know this thread is a year old but I've only just joined WRX. I play a TM R580 with the Mitsubishi Rayon Tour S and I've yet to find anything better. I do give it a bit of a rip. 110+ mpg.
