Golf Collages

Here are pictures of some golf collages I have made. I hope to make more in the future. They are all up on the wall in my dorm room.

It's great what old golf magazines can make. Maybe I'm just too creative or waste too much time making collages while I should be outside golfing?

listen, you're in college, you shouldn't be sitting around your dorm room making golf collages... go out and party!!! it's the best time of your life!!! and let me tell you, as soon as you are done, it's all down hill from there... so listen, get off the couch, put the collage down, and crack open and ice-cold bud light (sounds just like the commercial) believe me, you'll thank me for it!!!

Goals?

I am a sophomore and I go to Methodist College. I was on the golf team for both seasons Freshman year. FOr this fall semester we had 20 girls try out for 16 spots. It happened about the 2nd or 3rd week of school and I had just taken a resident advisor position. Not the best time to be concentrating on golf. I didn't make it but this semester I really haven't missed being on the team.

I have to pass the PGA's player ability test (PAT) before I can graduate. I guess that's really my ownly goal. I like to play golf but I could never seen myself playing on tour. My past experiences on my high schol team have made me not so excited to play on a team.

I've been to a couple of parties this year and they aren't that great. People have always viewed me as the one who rarely drinks and they all act surprised when I walk into a party. My school is a dry campus but there are always parties off campus on the weekends. Most golfers here have already turned into alcoholics. I'm a lightweight and truthfully I don't think the party scene is for me. Now of course I'll go out to a dance club instead, but we live in Fayetnam inhabited by military men.

Boy ole Boy I am here to tell you right now the biggest thing in my life I would change is the fact that I did not go and play college golf. I am now struggling to do it and I can only think "what if" at an earlier age.

If you have something else you would like to do great, but if you love the game as much as the rest of us don't let any oportunity get in your way now while you have the chance to do it. Stay focused on what is at hand and most of all have fun doing it.........

We have PM'd each other and if you ever need anything, push in the right direction, golf partner, or any advise don't hesitate to ask because one thing you will learn is that you never have enough friends and contacts in this world and alll you have to do is stay true to those that are there for you.

Good luck and give me a shout when you get back from Jersey and if the weather is good enough we'll go and hit the round ball around and get you ready for your PAT!

I put my school work first in front of many other things while at school. I am trying to double major in business administration and marketing with a concentration in professional golf management. I can't say that I enjoyed being on the golf team last year. I got to travel for one spring break tournament and that was locally. I've lost my confidence that I had back in HS. The travel team is competitive and they talk trash to any people who try and beat them. At practice, the coach only concentrates on the travel team. We have been the DIV III champions for the past 8 years in a row. I never really felt like part of the team or that it was a place I belonged. I will consider giving it another shot in the future.

I'm back at home in Indiana for the holidays. While spending time with my family hopefully I can sort some things out.

I can't say as much as the other guys have because I am only still in Junior High. But I would say make the golf team and work really hard and just have fun doing it. Because when your 35 you'll be happy that you played instead of saying what if.
