Golf Genius App

Anyone have this or found a good alternative?

We've used it in the past but it has gotten harder to use over time with regards to having to enter every scorecard manually, etc.

It's cool to use for golf trips with live scoring but for $250 I figured there was probably a free or cheaper alternative app to use.

Can't speak about other apps but my league uses golf genius. You need to have one person in every group enter scores after each hole. Then no one has to sit there and enter scorecards manually, and everyone can see live scoring while on the course.

Looks like there are other apps, some free, but haven't used them. Love the live scoring aspect, so any app I would want to use would have to have that feature.

My former club uses this and it's great. Unfortunately for all events they key it manually. What would be nice is taking a picture of the scorecard to load. Seems simple enough of an enhancement.

Any idea if this works in Ireland? Both in terms of scorecards and cell service to use on course....thanks.

as someone who uses golf genius daily at work...I must say...the usga has really screwed this program up. I first started using this program before the USGA had any involvement and thought it was great. now there are almost weekly changes to the interface. they keep changing it and making it trickier to use. anyone else feel like the USGA is messing up yet another facet of tournament golf? customer service is absolute garbage as well. I will say the mobile scoring aspect of this app is great though. Bring back the old golf genius!
