Naked or add paintfill?

Ok guys..

Would love your input..

Stripped and sanded my PM Grind..

I love the finish just curious if I should keep it naked or add paint fill

Leave your thoughts and maybe color paint fill ideas

I like wedges and irons naked. Once my paint starts coming out, I strip em' and let it ride.

Naked all the way. FIrst thing I do is remove paint fill...on everything. That wedge looks good! Can tell it has been around for a bit by the chatter but you cleaned it up nice. Bag it as is I say.

I'm OCD, so those uneven sanding marks would have me going bonkers, but as long as you like it that's all that matters. Just out of curiosity, what did you use for your finish, 20 grit?

 

Paintfill - I'm partial to the bottom groove in white, really helps with alignment, at least to me.

I actually wanted it that way to show a rustic look: I was going to take it all the way off but I wanted it to have some texture.

I have it an acetone bath..

Followed by 60 grit

Then 1200 grit

I'm temped to give mine a trailing edge grind to get the leading edge down so I don't have to be so aggressive with the face open .

You will definitely need a grinding wheel for that and once you do.. if it is the black finish you will have an uneven finish.

But.. wedges look best when they have wear on them
