help!

can anyone tell me about the GD Purple Ice 85 V3 f/w shaft...my swing tempo is about average, not too fast but not too slow either...and usually hit the ball around 235 off the tee with a 3 wood.

For the life of me I do not know why this shaft has not takin off. It is one of the most under-ratedshafts on the market, and its one of the only shafts that has a mid kick point and super low torque which corolates to maximum head feel with out the head twisting.

I think you will be very happy with this shaft. It has great weight and a stable tip for the those shots in the rough.

Give it a try, its a real sleeper.

probably one of the better...

High launch, tip stiff, decent weighted shafts available on the market...pretty rare combo to be so low torque and very high launch at the sametime.

As others have said it is a great fairway wood shaft. The only one I would rate better is the Accra Tour HF.

I put a 65g Stiff (firm trimmed) in a Hi-Bore. This thing launches high and goes far. Very solid shaft and very easy to get up in the air. Name recognition is the problem, IMO. These shafts are about as good as anybodys.

After watching my buddy "pmhacker" crank out some of the biggest 3 wood shots for the past year with the Purple Ice in his V Steel, I finally took the plunge last week.

I installed one in my Tourstage X-ST 3 wood and have been loving it for the last two rounds I've used it. I usually use a Fujikura Pro 95 in most of my 3 woods but had been giving the stock Tour AD M-75 that came with the XST a work out. I love the launch on the Purple Ice and it's definitely given me the "hang time" that the Pro 95 or the Tour AD didn't give me. I love the feel of it and the added kick it has that was lacking in my Pro 95. In my opinion it is what I call one of those effortless shafts, where you just have to swing it with nothing extraordinary needed to be done to work it.
