uPro Go cannot connect to computer

I have Callaway uPro Go and cannot connect to my Vista Ultimate Service Pack 2 operating system computer.

uPro shows connected to host but computer cannot see it.

uPro finder software cannnot find it either.

uPro version 10.10.10.10.10

Any ideas?

Call upro tech support. They are very knowledgeable.

I never have any luck with syncing with my upro. For such a good product the sync program is awful. I've given up trying on my mac. I'm going on number four trying to get through syncing on my pc.

You have Vista, good luck! Although I did notice a usb connect in the settings menu on the ugo, you might have to set that to yes.

It couldnt have been any easier on a mac.....it says exactly what to do in the instructions. Exactly two clicks and i was good to go.

Good for you, I, however, have never had any luck. I'm using the pro and it's never been two clicks.


Well, I stand corrected. Reformatted my card and reinstalled sync software and now works well on my Mac.

Did the driver software load when you first connected it to the computer? With the uPro connected, I'd go into the Device Manager in the Vista control panel and try to update the drivers or delete the device entirely and try to start over.

You're not running the 64-bit version of Vista, are you? If you are that could be the problem. I don't think there is a 64-bit driver written for the uPro.

I have a regular uPro and use Mac with OS X 10.6.2. I have to restart my computer before syncing, but as long as I remember to do that it is only a couple of clicks just like the instructions.

I have Vista 32 bit. There was no software driver with the unit.
I do not think that we can blame everything on Vista that is already 3 years old.
Callaway has a lot to answer concerning its synchronising program for uPro Go about which majority of people are complaining about and adopt it to standard computer operational systems that are available on the market for a long time.
Perhaps FT driver design is not the same as a software driver.

There's nothing wrong with the uPro and Vista. I used mine with Vista before switching to Windows 7 and it works fine with both. There is "no software driver with the unit" - the software is actually on the microSD card that is inside the uPro and it should download the driver when you connect it to the computer.

Try another USB port on your computer. The majority of people are not complaining about it and it works fine with the major operating systems on the market. This sounds like user error. Alternately, you could try contacting uPro customer support, which has been good in my opinion. Good luck.

Never had the UPro, but I heard nothing but good things. I used the golf logix ( NOT WORTH IT)

I found that with mine it can take up to 3 or 4 minutes from the time I connect the Upro until the computer actually registers that it is there. Before that, I had a lot of trouble getting the sync software to find the device. Now, I just hook it up then do something else until the computer notifies me that it has found it. From then on I have no problems.

I had the same issue. The culprit was my wireless. Disconnected the wireless and all was good.

I had to get a replacement unit. I think my cord wasn't functioning properly. I haven't had any problems with the new one. (Knock on wood).
