Best Rain Gear for under $200

Jacket and Pants

I am playing in more golf outings that never get cancelled. I am looking for the best rain gear I can get for under $200 a set. These bad boys must hold up under extreme situations.

You can usually find a Sunice or Zero Restriction gore-tex jacket on sale for ~$150 or so at tgw.com. You should probably spend the majority of your money on a good jacket.

With the rest, I'm sure you could find a nice pair of rain pants almost anywhere.

Buy a Zero Restriction Goretex jacket off Ebay, I've seen them for about 120 bucks on there. A good jacket is more essential than the pants, but if you want a pair of pants go to cabelas and check out what they have for goretex pants. Or if you can find a nice pair of Zero Restriction They're really good too. Rain gear doesn't get any better than if it has goretex in it, plus the stuff with goretex has lifetime warrenty. That will keep you dry in any conditions, make sure you don't forget the bucket hat!!!!

Whatever you do, buy GoreTex. On sale, you can find some good GoreTex rain gear for not so bad a price. I have tried non-GoreTex rain gear and it just does not do the trick or stay water "repellant" very long. Anything that is only water resistant...stay away from.

On a side note, if anyone needs a pair of Zero Restriction rain pants with zip off legs to turn them into shorts in XL size...I have a brand new pair in the bag with tags still on them. These are the whisper soft ones with belt loops and zipper in front. I will make a super deal on them. My wife bought them for me. I guess she thought I was still an XL size. Just too big for me.
