Rife Custom Milled with a twist . . .

Rare find?

Starting putting with a Rife Bimini recently - rolling it very well. I was in the shop the other day and saw another 8802 style putter. Went over to pick it up and it was a Rife Bimini unlike I had ever seen before. Instead of the standard satin finish, it had a shiny, chrome plated finish, with red and yellow "fire flame" paintfill instead of the standard blue. The sole of the putter states that it is a "Custom Milled" 002/500, but the finish and paintfill looks nothing like the one on the site:

It's part of the Collector's Series - it has been posted up here before (just last week I believe). They also have produced an Abaco with the same finish. They typically retail around $400-500.

Geez.... I'll trade you an in the wrapper #42 for it. #2!! Wow, those low numbers below 10 don't got out to just anyone. You got a deal if you bought it for anything less than $200.

Seriously I do have #42.

I have no doubt it is the Collector's Series, but this one has received some extra love, IMO. This one is very different from the ones on the website and the Abaco in the recent thread. The Abaco had a liquid black finish. The Collector's Series on the website is more of a matte or satin finish and has blue painfill. This one had a chrome or stainless finish and the painfill is a very intricate red faded to yellow (like a fire flame) - certainly not something that someone could do at home by hand. The Champions Tour was in town 2 weeks ago for the Outback Pro Am, so I assume this one was traded in by one of the players. Plenty of them frequent this particular shop. I'll try to post pics.
