Hiro Honma PP-737 Tour Model's

What can anyone tell me about these clubs?
Bought a set of Hiro Honma PP-737 Tour Model irons last year and I love the look of the heads! Being over excited/stupid I decided that they should be reshafted so I destroyed the 7 iron shaft pulling it. I know that pulling a graphite shaft you should use the shaft extractor but I didn't care and didn't have access to one at the time...

Now I'm considering trying to locate another shaft to replace it or just reshafting them all with steel. What are everyone's opinions on this and can anyone tell me about the manufacturing process for the heads?!?!! I've heard that they are a special forge or plating and I'm not sure they should be rechromed. Nickle, then copper, and finally chrome.... sound right for these irons?

Also, the "mole in the hole" cloisonne is damaged and I wanted to have them replaced. I've contacted some custom pin manufacturers who would make them even though they probably shouldn't...others have said they can't without Honma's permisson... regardless. Anyone know if or how to get around all this? If I could get the old enamel out I'd be happy to leave them gold or even slap some black paint in them. The problem there is that I don't know how to get the old enamel out!

Look forward to some advice or info! I'll try to get some pictures to put up later.

Honma is famous for its shafts and if this is one of the prized 5 star graphite shafts, they were worth a pretty penny. I have a set of the pp727 and pp737, I have both with steel shafts and they work great. the only thing I dont like about them is the wedges look crazy with the amount of offset. As for replating ? is that even possible ??? i know it is a 27 step "forging" process. I realized Honma were not forged but i cant think of a better word since they really are better than most cast clubs in terms of feel and softness...In fact Honma's back in the days were the softest clubs around, which is not necessarily a good thing because if a iron bumps into another iron, you have a huge ding !!! I wouldnt worry about the emblem, these irons are readily available for a reasonable price on ebay

I had those blades for a little while. They are not very forgiving, but I loved the head shape. They were the last clubs I had that I really tried to curve the ball a lot with. To me well struck shots felt good, but not as good as a forged head, or the Adams aTour Reds I had. I did reshaft mine with steel rifle shafts.

I still haven't tried the Honma's but I play a set of Mizuno MP32's (6i-PW), MP60's (3i-5i), and a MP30 (2i) and own a set of 1985 Titleist Tour Models so I'm used to the unforgiving heads...but these Honma's may be a totally different story.

Sent an email to Honma about the situation so maybe I'll get some good news back from them!
