2008 TaylorMade Tour Burner Irons

Thinking about getting a set of TM Tour Burner irons as a happy medium between blades and shovels.

For those of you who tried them, what did you think? Workable, playable, forgiving, ugly, heavy,light, high/low ball flight, side-spin/back-spin?

Any feedback will be appreciated!

Get 2.0's and never look back.....of course, install your favorite shaft

TMB - does that mean you tried a set and didn't like them?

If so, what do you like better about the 2.0's?

Nice club.....but yes, it's ugly. Not TMs best effort. Get on eBay and find a set of MCs or maybe some 300-forged. Better examples of TM's players cavity backs.

No, only 2.0's after I have played LT's, R7 TP's, 2009 TP's, MC's

2.0's are TM benchmark non forged iron...still being sold as new for $299

I guess I just remember some assistant pro's on the TM staff who were using Tour Burners. A few of them told me they didn't want to take them out of the bag because they performed so well. I also remember Kenny Perry using them.

I've had 2.0's and RBZ's, but was a bit wary of the offset and 85g steel shaft.

I think u are right about KP's winning streak with those.....I found a set from a member that were factory done with KBS Tours, a shaft I personally like. I would shaft a set with C Tapers Lite, but no .370 yet. Mine also were bent to normal TM iron specs it seems by the member which works great for me also. No jacked lofts

Anyone else used/using TaylorMade Tour Burner irons?
