Callaway X2 Hot Golf Balls

Does anyone have a clue if this will replace the Hex Chrome? It appears to be a 3 piece ball with two options, based on swing speed. On the Callaway site they're presented between the SR Series and the low end SuperSoft.

If this replaces the Hex Chrome, it's a great price. Less than $30.

No, these are not a replacement.

Picked up a sleeve today. Not a bad ball. Great ball flight, good stopping power on the green. Felt about the same as any Cally ball on the putter face. All in all, i liked this ball more than the chrome+. Will play again.

No. These have surlyn/ionomer covers while the HEX Chrome has a urethane cover. These look to be replacements for the HEX Hot/HEX Hot Pro.

I would be blown away if these have anywhere near the stopping power of the Chrome+... the Chrome+ has crazy spin, like more than the hex tour black spin. In fact, it is the spinniest ball Callaway made last year. No chance a ball with a surlyn cover can compete with that.

They do not spin as much as the Chrome+. That was the ball I played previously, and the + spun waaaayyyy too much. I couldn't control it, and found myself hitting a dead hand 8 when I wanted to take a full gap or sand wedge. Found these balls much more controllable and predictable. Again, that was just my experience. If you have issues with balls rolling out 15ft after impact, then this ball may not help you and you should be looking for something with a bit more spin.
