That sucks sorry. Be careful with the wrist. I hit a shot fat from the rough one time on the 9th hole. It hurt but I didn't think it was a big deal so I finished the round in minimal pain. Then afterward it swells up and I end up not being able to swing a club without pain for 4 months. I hope your guy's situation is much less severe.

Having seen Jordan Niebrugge's game up close, how impressed were you? And how did his game compare to Dan's (when fit)?

 

Having had an up close and personal view to Jordan's game, I will say that he makes the cut at the Open. He's an extremely solid player. Lots of 3 irons off the tee which he striped down the middle almost everytime with a baby draw. He really didn't get into much trouble during the 18 holes and when he did, played smart and almost always got it up and down. His dad was his caddie for the round who had basically printed each hole off Google Earth and had to use for reference points.

 

As far as comparing him with DW when he was playing at Wine Valley for the local qualifier, there was a lot of similarity. Both players are tall and slender and very close on distances. Jordan's lag putting for not playing a practice round was great. Not sure if I saw him 3 putt one green which was pretty impressive considering the greens were running over 14. His dad said that he'll probably use a local caddie at Erin Hills as he did at St Andrews.

 

Our other playing partner was Brian Prouty from Tuscon, AZ on the Web.com tour. He had his father caddie for him as well and was a great guy to play with.

Brian is a good dude, and a great golfer. Played quite a few events with him back in the playing days.
