Renovating old and rusty Wedges back to life

Trying to revive an old thread before I post something new. I bought a used set. One of the wedges has a rock mark on the leading edge that has caused a little bulging of the lowest groove near that area. Is that something I can hammer flat or it that a bad idea considering it is on the face and could actually make the wedge less playable? Any help would be great.

post a photo of it, it has to be really bad before improvement is impossible, most damages can be fixed with a hammer only

I would love to see more dings hammered back into shape. I think this is one of the best threads out there. This along with stamping and you can revive and create some awesome wedges.

Been reading this thread but am confused on the entire process to use to do this type of refinishing. Where is Howard's process specifically described in this thread?

Full disclosure i never read the whole thread, but best tip ever for stripped rust and grime off old clubs - I had Adams MB2 Raws for a few years - space the heads just up to below the hosel in Coca Cola over night - next morning wipe down and those things are as stripped as can be with no damage
