Mine doesn't have a battery indicator, that I am aware of.

Does anyone else's have one? Ive read some people say theres does.

Did they bring out a second version of the v3 with battery indicator? or can software be updated?

Anyone know?

Its really annoying it just dies from nowhere. I keep a spare battery, but its still annoying.

There is no battery indicator built in to the view like newer models. Mine will say "lo8" or "Err" or something when the battery is low or dead, but I have also had it stop working before any notice due to the battery.
