> Congrat!! It’s amazing right? Was it a par 5 / 2 on?

Yes. Par 5. 535ish yards. Crushed my drive plus it's been hot and dry so I got quite a bit of roll out. 213 left, hit a 3 hybrid nearly pin high but to the right to 12 ft. Slight right to left Putt, firmed it in!

Only other legit look I had was on a par 4 dogleg right, elevated tee box on a course I'd never played. My buddy said if I hit a big cut around a particular tree, it'd be on the green. I don't usually have that kind of command with the driver but hit the perfect shot to 6 ft. Left the eagle putt short. Most disappointing birdie ever!

Congrats again! Wow, a clutch 12 footer - tiger style.

I understand about a disappointing birdie lol.

I had another eagle chance this sat, but knowing your putting for an eagle gets me shook.

Ended up with birdie and was happy and disappointed at the same time.

> Sounds like you're playing some good golf! Keep it up. I love hating this silly game.

Thank you and surely will try my best!

Every time I get the driver/ 4 iron combination chance, it’s been really really successful.

I think there are certain driver / 2nd club combo that work best and mine is definitely the 4i after a solid drive.

Love this disappointing game!

Thank you!

No 2 wood, It’s actually my driver. I have a few and the arccos system allows one driver so I saved as 2w.

After a series of lessons, I just recently started hitting it this far so this style of play and opportunity are pretty new to me.

Great 2nd shot. I think the 2nd shot is often the most important as it sets you up to score- or not.

Thank you very much!

Yes, I 100% agree the 2nd shot is the set up for your score and has become really important to me.

My range sessions used to be all about positions/ mechanics, but now has turned into more of a “feel the distance to a target” practice which really transfers to the course a lot easier.

> I often preach the most important shot is the first shot at the flag.....

My buddy and I were discussing this just last week. He is a 6 hdcp and I'm a 7. Both of us have been struggling some for a couple of months and we realized that neither of us are getting many higher percentage birdie putts. Getting on in regulation, but at 20+ feet we're both struggling to keep it close to par. Last year both of us had many more looks at birdies and it was a result of getting it closer to the flag.

I'm not saying driving isn't important as we all know if you don't get it on the fairway you're not going to score. But if you have 120 yards in and can't get it to within 20 feet your great drive means nothing.

Exactly! I think the first shot at the flag is so key because its your first shot that can determine if you have an excellent attempt at birdie. If you hit it to 6 feet you know there's a great chance in front of you.... if I drive it 320 down the pipe still dont mean jack squat as far as having an excellent attempt at birdie, now it helps tremendously but not like a 6 foot putt which I could have garnered from a bunker or from the trees.
