I'm not trying to make this a competition, so slow your roll. This is, without a doubt, the truest definition of a rivalry. There is a half dozen or so huge a** rivalries in college football. Michigan/OSU are most certainly part of that landscape. They've had two of the most iconic coaches in the history of the game, epic outcomes that defined football lore. Multiple championships, heisman winners, on and on. Are they the end all be all? Of course not. But due respect, for certain...

All good rivalries. The teams can't be stellar every single year, but more often than not these are generally games between ranked opponents.

I mean think back 6-7 years ago to Auburn/Alabama. Neither of the teams were great so did it stop becoming a rivalry because the teams were having down years? Is it now a rivalry again this season because they were ranked 1 and 4?
