Maui Golf Courses?

Hi all. New to this but spent some time looking thru and find quite a few nice tidbits abut courses to try out as I wind my way around the U.S.

Am heading to Maui for a week end of May/ 1st of June. Will play probably 3-5 rounds. Which ones? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I've played both courses at Kaanapali Beach and they were decent, but the real jem that I played was The Dunes at Maui Lani. It has some gorgeous holes, and some really tough ones.

Kapalua Plantation is a must play. One of the best tracks I've played.

If you want the possibility of playing in high winds play Kapalua/Kanapali side. If you want to play good courses without the wind play Wailea side. Where's your hotel - which side of the island? Driving between the two sides of the island can be a pain in the butt depending on the time of day. It's a two lane road winding along the ocean.

Hi and thanks for the feedback. I know the history of wind on the Kapalua side but I believe t** to be a must play.

What about the Callange at Lanai? Worth the ferry trip over?

My thoughts are Kapalua Plantation, The Dunes, and then over to Lanai.

I'm staying at the Hyatt in Wailei so one of the Wailea courses as well.

It's been quite a while since I played the Challenge at Manele, but I definately recommend anyone who has the chance to play it to do so. The course had just aerated the greens but I still had a great time. The views were incredible and service was awesome. Definately worth it.

Hyatt at Wailea? Do you mean the Grand Wailea Resort that origianlly was a Grand Hyatt a long time ago?, or the Hyatt in Lahania? Either way, i'd recommend playing the Makena courses and any of the Wailea courses. Wailea Gold if you can get on , its really a great fun place to play. I'd also recommend Kapalua Plantation or the Village course. I don't think the Ferry ride is worth it, there are plenty of great courses on Maui. I've played the Plantation twice, its an exciting place to play, but the wind can definitely take some enjoyment out of it. I highly recommend Makena and Wailea courses.
