Where to buy Tour Issue S400 8 iron shafts......?

Anyone know where I can get single 8 iron shafts, Tour Issue S400.....? Checked golfworks but no luck....

9 iron is the shortest. 9 - wedge all get the same shaft.

Buying a single shaft defeats the purpose of what the tour issue shafts are supposed to be. They are supposed to be a weight sorted matched set. I realize you probably want the fancy label, but save some money and order standard S400 shafts.

I believe the OP is wanting to "Tiger Step" a wedge using an 8 iron shaft. I assume buying individual tour issue shafts is difficult.

I don't think DG Tour Issue shafts are matched to each other other than they are within 1/2 gram of the target weight.

Correct, I currently have CTaper X Flex in wedges "Tiger stepped". I would like the S400 TI ones. I didn't ask for comments on "save your money and get regular". I just want to know where to get them. Thanks

All DG Tour Issue shafts are within 1/2 g of target,so all sets and individual shafts would be "matched" if not by frequency at least by weight

or are you saying one set might be say 125g and the next set 128 but matched to the other shafts in the set?

When I spoke with TT a few weeks ago, this is what I was told.....on any given set off the rack your looking at probably anywhere from a 1-1.5g difference across the set, the TI ones are just hand picked of the bunch and have tighter tolerance anywhere from .25-.50g between the set.

This.

At first we had Dynamic. I remember when you could get these for less than $5/shaft (mid 1990's).

Then True Temper came up with this idea of weight sorting and Dynamic Gold was born. Shafts were same as Dynamic, just binned into weight groupings, labeled differently, and the price doubled (roughly speaking).

Last evolution was Tour Issue. Again, shafts identical to old fashioned Dynamic, but now weight sorted even more closely and the price doubled on top of DG prices.

Brilliant piece of marketing on True Tempers part.

getting one,i suppose defeats the object of matching.nothing to match to!

BUt note they also took away the chance for you to do it yourself,with no Dynamics available

I'll sell them to you at $300 a piece with sticker and they won't weight match. Or, $250 a piece without sticker and they will match. How many you want? Please specify sticker or no sticker.
