Grips?

I have recently updated my grips this summer with Golf Pride Tour Velvet Super Tack Grips...

These grips are amazing and I am coming from Golf Pride New Decade Multicompound. I live in south Florida and they have held up nicely with our upper 90's during this summer. Could there be a better grip?

Well thanks for letting me know this. I just picked one up to try on my driver. Had not put it on yet. How do you think they are compared to the tour wrap ? If you know. Thanks.

I've only ever used Tour Velvet and New Decade Multicompound. In the heat with 90° plus temps and heat index over 100° the Tour Velvets would start to slip on me, and a couple of years ago I switched to the Multicompound and that eliminated the grips becoming slippery in the heat of summer. I liked the Multicompound but found the grips a little harsh in the top cord section of the grip. Almost a couple of months since I regripped with the Tour Velvet Super Tack and I really like them. The hold up well in hot and wet conditions. They provide a lot of feedback and are not as harsh as cord grips. They are just as they are named and provide a tack when you grip the clubs and you do not have to hold the grip tight at all to maintain control. They are about half the price of the Multicompounds and perform just as well. I can't compare them to the tour wrap because I haven't tried them. The regular tour wraps would not do well in hot or wet conditions based off of the ratings by Golf Pride website, but a comparable grip with the same tack rubber compound as the Tour Velvet Super Tacks are the...

It looks like these grips are a little softer but still provide excellent grip tack.

I've had them a couple of months and they don't show any wear. The regular Tour Velvets at this point would show rubber wear marks right under my upper thumb area. So far so good... and they are great in wet, hot and humid conditions as well.

Sounds like a good grip Ive had the pure DTX for about 6 months in FL and they show 0 wear if you are looking for an alternative. I play about 3-4 rounds a week.

I've been very happy with my tour velvets. I just tried the CP2 wrap on a few clubs. LOVE THEM!!
Soft and tacky. Lets see how they age.

I like the feel of the CP2 wraps, but wish they just came in black or black and white. Not a big fan of the looks of them.

I am going super cheap this next time around and going with Tacki-mac wraps. $2 a piece. I love wrap grips so we'll see how these work out. They should arrive in the next day or so. I'd like to try leather some day - hard to justify the price. Maybe at Christmas I can gift myself.
