GREG CHALMERS

What????
I dont know how much you guys follow the nationwide tour, but I just saw lefty Greg Chamlers do the most painful thing ever. At the tournament this week at the winery (forgot the name), Greg hits it over the green on a par 3, not terribly rare right? Unfortunately, that rough havent been mowed for weeks, and it was up over his knees. He couldn't find his ball without sticking his entire head in the rough. Anyway, he chunks his second shot, chunks his third shot, chunks his fourth shot, chunks his fifth shot, loses his ball and takes an unplayable lie when he eventually found it. Now hitting seven, chunks it, hitting eight, chunks it. Takes another unplayable lie. Finally gets it out of the rough over the other side of the green. Chips past the hole for 11. Misses the putt for 12, and makes a ten over par 13.

He started the hole in reasonable contention at -1, but ended up finishing the hole at 9 over par, missing the cut.

Blechhh!!!

The rough he was in over there was just stupid. Totally unfair IMO. There was nowhere to even drop had he wanted to take an unplayable.

Wow, I just watched it on Golf Central. One of the most painful things I have ever watched. I can't believe how he kept his composure, and remained the first class gentleman he has always been. I'm pretty sure I would have been in tears. There was absolutely no way out, and nothing he could do. What a nightmare!!!

What is it with the supers letting the rough get like this? I thought rough was supposed to penalize you by about one shot on the average, unless you make a great shot from it. Jail short, jail long. Not too many safe options to chose from. It is getting pretty ridiculous on some of the courses. 7500 yards, par 70, 8 inch rough, hard greens rolling at 12's. Sounds like a fun day to me.

There is only one guy at this tournanment under par after three rounds.

In my opinion, the triple A tour needs a test like this at least once a year to help these players when they get to the big game (esp. US Open). The birdie fest at happens every week gets a little boring.

I'm sick of the Nationwide Tour being a fall back for those players who can't keep their card. It is suppose to be there to help develop players.

Yes, a nine is a truoble score on a par three. However, I doubt the USGA, PGA Tour, and Eruo Tour shed one tear for him.

I was watching unfold during secound round action. It's out in Cali around San Francisco it's called Wente Vineyards I believe. I literally got sick to my stomach watching it. Not sure if it was the flu or something. But it was painful and unfair. To take the unplayable lie just to drop into another unplayable was absolutley brutal.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
