Need help with ebay problem

I listed and sold some irons on ebay that I had reshafted from steel to graphite, and they came out to be about 3/4 of a inch over standard, which I never looked at the specs to check and see if they were right on standard length I was more worried about the weight. I told in my auction that I was not a professional clubmaker and gave the length of finished five iron and had pics and a detailed description of the item, I also put in there that all sales are final due to being burned by buyers remorse before after the fact. My problem is that the buyer now wants a refund because he said it took 2 weeks to get clubs and then clubs are longer than he expected and if he knew they were longer that standard he would not have bid on them. I have already spent the money on new irons and dont have it to refund him. It is plainly listed the length of the shafts and he could of looked at the specs himself. I was not trying to misrepresent my clubs. I told him that I couldnt refund his money because I didnt have it, and I offered to ship him the pullouts if he wanted them but I didnt have the funds to refund his money. The reason it took so long to get to him too is he paid with a e check and it takes a few days to clear and then it took a week from alabama to cali where he is for ups. I am afraid he may open a claim on me and usually the seller never wins in those I have seen. Any advice would be great on the situation

Can't see how he can claim to have been misled in any way. I can see no reason for you to refund him and would say that you have already been very generous in offering to send him the pull outs.

I read your ad. IMO you are fine. 93 transaction and 100% feedback. There was eight other offers. Tell him to resell them on E Bay. The offers outside of his was $475.00 but no lower than $400.00. And E Bay does not always side with the buyer.

You are covered..You did not mislead him in anyway..and its not your fault He did an E-check, Seems it is more on Him than on you..If He opens a claim on you just state your case..You did nothing wrong at all and as said Paypal or Ebay does not always side with the Buyer..I have won a dispute before being the seeler because the guy did not read the description properly..You are fne

I agree, I believe you are safe. You described the item accurately. And FYI - eBay certainly does not always side with the buyer in a dispute.

Also it isnt that hard to go to the Manufacturers site and check the specs on a set of clubs...

Unless the clubs condition or the item itself was grossly misrepresented, you will win a claim. I wouldn't worry about it.
