Never Compromise Origin?

Where's this stuff made?

I can't remember now if I was tipped off here or just bumped into it on the GolfGalaxy.com site, but a week or so ago, I noticed that GG was selling off Never Compromise Voodoo putters (both heel- and center-shafted) for only $30 (!). Well, heck, I've already got an an entire corner of a room filled with putters that I don't use, and I paid a lot more for 'em than this. They (yup, one of each) arrived today. I've dinked around with the older Grey Matter putters and liked 'em although I never would have coughed up $150+ for one. Tried the big center-shaft Exchange too, which is a nice putter that's again pretty expensive.

The Voodoo is a plain milled face, no insert, aluminum body. There's no guessing ahead of time whether I'll like a plain face or insert without trying. In this case, I don't think the Voodoo feel is as nice as the Grey Matter. But hey, it only cost $30. The quality of construction is really great - very nicely machined and finished.

The putters were brand new with shaft length stickers still on. I notice that there's no sticker with origin information on there, which either means US manufacture or at least US assembly from imported parts. Googling "Never Compromise putters" shows that the founder of the company used to work at Odyssey, but I couldn't find anything about where these putters are produced. Anybody know?

I guess this is probably more a question of what kind of labelling manufacturers put on. I have some Odyssey putters as well, which also have no labelled country of origin, but I seem to remember people here saying that the heads are cast in China. It seems that if imported components (in the case of an Odyssey putter, perhaps the head and grip are made overseas, shaft is True Temper which I believe is domestic) are assembled in the US, then it's treated as an American-made product under our crazy labelling system. But I'm sure you've all noticed the component origin stickers that you see on Taylor-Made and Nike golf sets that break down head, shaft, and assembly locales. In many cases, the assembly was in the US, so why do they have those stickers?

I don't much care about where the club was made, just how well it works. Especially if it only cost $30.

BTW, Voodoo Daddy mallets are $100 at GolfGalaxy and Golfsmith, but there's some place on Amazon.com that's selling those for $69+shipping. Sigh, I guess that will be sitting in the corner soon too. At least this didn't cost as much as the "deal" on Cameron Futura Phantoms that you guys got me with last month.
