The Nike is staying! After tonights range session its earned its stripes :) nearly all the balls cleared the net apart from a couple of bad swings one hook one slice and one knuckle ball

I told you it was great driver, I still kicking myself for not picking the one up I found in used bin at the store 2 years ago. But great to hear it is working for you

Very true, mines been hotmelted and sounds very muted which I like!

That 95x shaft seems to fit it perfectly too, not overly stiff and the 440cc head is beautiful at address. I think the only club that could kick it out now would be a 983k if I can get to test one cheap or a TW Vapor Pro

I seen the TW Vapor Pro in person and that thing looks mean. I have buddy who played a 983k with bimatrix in it. The thing was straight wolf stick; he would either hit a nice easy 295 mid cut or low draw that went 350; never missed with the thing

Thats good news then! They look sweet and only 365cc :D

Theres a 7.5* 983k head on ebay right now and I'm bidding on it ;) fancy an X100 or pulling the BiMatrix out of my Burner and stuffing it in as a blind bore

Smaller heads appeal to my eye more so if I can get it or if I can get hold of a TW head then I'll put them in to play as a test mule, either with the BiMatrix or given the price of these 95x's seeing as no one wants them I may pick up a few more NV's to toy with :)

I play NV 85-X tipped inch, for a very short period of time before ot broke due to poor club building, but it was one the smoothest shafts ever

So the Burner head has been pulled, if anyone wants it is for sale!

Any onto more important things.....

I built up an FT9 TA last night with the BiMatrix, 24hr epoxy should be cured tonight and I'll hit the range tomorrow. Still need to try and implement swing changes to get rid of the early extension though, hopefully I can get closer to it before my lesson next week if not that'll definitely be the main point to focus on

Couple of pics of the Callaway next to the Nike, seems like they have a very similar swing weight now.

Β

Will hopefully get a chance to try it out at the range tomorrow (if its dry)

Β

Must say I definitely like the look of the FT9 TA at address, its not quite as deep as the VR Pro Ltd due to the 10cc smaller head and overall profile difference but its still good to look down at

Just to add, the FT9 isn't closed by any means! Thats just because I had to rest it on my leg to get them both to stay put

Great looking putter man
Thanks! I hunted for a while before that one came up, for some reason I cant do rounded bumpers on putters so an 006 is the only thing that fits my eye, same with a plumbers neck....cant get past the looks of a flow neck!

The 3 wood is something tiger wood play back in the day. I was joking the other day that the reason he had back issues is he used to play the x100 driver shaft.
Haha as an avid fan of the X100 I can say that in a driver it's brilliant! I had one as a gamer for a season and a half before I stopped playing, 907D2 with an X100 at 43.5" I think or 44 and it was a beast! Accurate, super low ball flight and great feel, I might revert back to the 983k or 905s with an X100 a little later this year!
Currently bidding on a 905s with an Aldila NV 75x in it which is a little on the light side for my liking, so if it turns out I don't like it I'll rip it out and get an X100 in there, 7.5* head too :D

3 wood is being swapped out for either a TEE CB2 or Nike VR Pro Ltd, will see which one I like the look of more then drop the X100 in. I reckon the Nike will win as its open faced. TEE has the edge on distance and face depth though :) they've been posted out so should get some tinkering time next weekend

 • 2 years later...

As photobucket has ruined everything heres a minor update, replacement pics have made their way into the first post and the drivers have had a changing of the guard.......VR Pro is now in the gamer spot, FT9-TA and VR Tour LTD are on the bench, I may also be in the process of acquiring another FT9-TA with a 65g 05 Devotion in it to stick a third Bi-Matrix into but this time I'll tip it an inch if I do.....I just like stock piling drivers and I've found a shaft I like

Β

Β

Seems I had a lot of driver pics on photobucket......

Β

This is also no longer a broke students bag but a broke design engineers bag, graduated and I'm now working! All money will be spent on car parts though instead of golf, just bought a set of 2.5" remote res King Shock Coilovers, for those in the know......you know their pricing!
