The Old Course is staying put just like it is, long term. It looks like the New Course will be going away sometime next year - along with a remodel of the practice facility.

 

Keith didn't think much of the course condition but I thought it would be a good place to hang my hat for a while. I like how the layout works it's way through the trees and makes you hit shots instead of bombing it away on every hole.

 

Also, there is supposed to be a clubhouse remodel coming soon.

Sounds like a pretty good option if the price is right. How large is the membership - will it become a problem when they go back to 18 holes? Let me know if you have an extra spot when you play out there again...I'd love to see the course. I hate always seeing a course from the road and never playing it. I'm curious.

Sounds like a pretty good option if the price is right. How large is the membership - will it become a problem when they go back to 18 holes? Let me know if you have an extra spot when you play out there again...I'd love to see the course. I hate always seeing a course from the road and never playing it. I'm curious.

 

Most of the membership is geriatric so the majority of play is in the morning during the week. Wednesday nights are MGA nights and from what I saw, after work shouldn't be a problem playing in 3 hours or so. I want to try it on the weekend to see how bad it is.

 

Next time I head out there I'll shoot you a line.

Hey Ryan, nice to see you over here. Great to meet you yesterday. I hope the tees work for you, at least you're color coordinated! I'm up at Fish Creek (for at least the rest of the month anyway) so if you're up that way looking for a game, let me know.

I'm just a little spoiled. I liked the layout, for sure... it would be nice if it went left once in a while, Mr I Only Hit Fades, but I do like it. You don't have to hit driver much unless you want to take a risk. You could tell the greens were brand-spankin' new ... like hitting onto a runway .... hit it high and soft, or land short, period.

 

Depending on the deal over at Ravenaeux, I think I'd be happy there too. We'll have to play it again sometime soon.
