What small time course "could" become a name course?

In June 2014 four of us took a trip to the Quad Cities. We played little-known Fyre Lake in Sherrard, Illinois and the acclaimed TPC Deere Run in Silvis, about 30 minutes away. We all agreed, to a man, that Fyre Lake was easily a better golf course. Although the amenities were non-existent, It features a fun, intriguing design.

Amenities are overrated. Played the TPC before. Thanks for the info on this course. Looks like a great layout.

Driver: Callaway Paradym 9 set to 10 Draw

Don't have pictures but Lafayette Indiana has s course called Coyote Crossing I really like. It has some great holes.
