i'm getting a set of r7tps and i decided that it would be a good idea to try and see if i could get a deal through the TM pro at the course i work at. it turned out to have been the best idea ever! after tax and whatnot, the total price for r7tps 4-P with s300 shafts 1* flat is about 390 bucks! thats a great deal compared to retail which is somewhere around 700... just thought i'd share that with you guys...

Yeah, unfortunately, TMAG is hurting the industry. They've managed to allow margins to become little to nothing. I actually honestly wish that every company had a policy like Ping. The state of the industry would be a much better one.

I won't even buy Salomon skis anymore since TMAG took over. ouch.

Not sure if I'm describing it right, but I believe it's similar to a personal use discount for golf pros.

"proform" - and talking about it is frowned up by the manufacturers because: (a) pros are only supposed to use it for their personal equipment, and (b) manufacturers don't really like the general public to know that some people have access to discounted gear.

At least that's the way it works in snowboarding.

Agreed. These days my Salomon pro form discounts are no better than any other particpating manufacturer.

... and their new gear is fantastic!

My brother works at a local club and I have had him order me a couple of items, but I do not abuse it. The real problem is when folks buy things at cost or with their PUD, etc., then turn around and sell them, IMO.
